Create the Accident, from the fall to the catastrophe
How do you slip on a banana peel and knock over a house?
Spend five days breaking down the process of creating an accident, then building it into a full-on stunt.
From theory to practice, the workshop explores the mechanics of laughter based on physical gags and their specific writing principles. Super-objective, objective, state, emotion, intention, reaction, reconstruction, trigger, and the impact of the accident on the situation—these are all key elements to explore through writing, improvisation, and performance in order to develop a stunt and its physical execution.
The workshop offers an intense mix of technical and creative tools, combined with the practice of physical and acrobatic comedy. It requires strong motivation and, ideally, some experience on stage.
The course is structured step by step, so both your body and mind are ready for the acrobatic exploration of accidents.
